Anglesea

For almost a century, this timber held the roof of the Anglesea Stand at the Royal Dublin Society and witnessed the moments that defined Irish sporting history.  When the stand was demolished, the timber was rescued, nails, bolts and every knock it took along the way.

This extraordinary timber, which is now virtually extinct, remains only in buildings old enough to have used it.  The timber in this collection is is some of the last of it.
