Forager Spalted Beech
We named this the Forager lamp because with its distinctive shaped bulb and salvaged wooden base it reminded us of wild mushrooms growing on the forest floor. The Forager table lamp consists of a distinctive retro bulb perched on a brass lamp holder sitting on a handcrafted base of salvaged timber (depending on what we have in stock) and is complemented by a retro twisted, braided cord chosen to suit each individual piece.
This particular lamp is made from a storm fallen old beech tree from Wicklow, Ireland (2012). The Pattern is due to fungal attacks on the tree, and any black lines occur when two separate spores meet.
Each lamp is unique, the colour, grain and finish of the wood will vary from lamp to lamp. All our lamps are made by hand in our studio in Delgany, Co. Wicklow and each comes with a handwritten label describing its provenance.
