The Anglesea Collection

Our latest collection takes its name from the Anglesea Stand at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), the source of the remarkable timber used to create these pieces.

The RDS has long been a cornerstone of Irish cultural and sporting life. It is home to the prestigious Aga Khan Stakes, one of the world's most renowned horse racing competitions, and has welcomed generations of rugby supporters as the home of Leinster Rugby and Irish international matches.

Originally completed in 1927, the Anglesea Stand was designed to accommodate large crowds and reflected the RDS's enduring mission to enrich Dublin's cultural, agricultural, and sporting landscape.

When the stand was demolished, we were fortunate to acquire a quantity of its original timber. That timber is pitch pine, a material once favoured for grand civic buildings and public structures across Britain and Ireland. Celebrated for its density, rich resinous grain, and exceptional durability, old-growth pitch pine is now virtually unobtainable. The remaining supply exists largely within historic buildings constructed during a bygone era. This timber represents part of that increasingly rare legacy.

Our approach is always to preserve as much of the timber's history and character as possible. Rather than refining away the marks of its past, we allow the grain, patina, and natural imperfections to remain visible, ensuring that each piece retains the authenticity and story of the original material.

The Anglesea Collection currently includes a console table, a ceiling pendant, and a table lamp, each crafted to celebrate the unique beauty and heritage of this extraordinary timber.

The Anglesea Collection currently includes a console table, a ceiling pendant, and a table lamp, each designed to showcase the character and history of the reclaimed pitch pine.

The console table highlights the timber's natural grain and patina, making it a distinctive feature piece for any interior. The ceiling pendant brings warmth and texture to a space, celebrating the beauty of the reclaimed wood in a simple, contemporary form. The table lamp offers a smaller-scale expression of the collection, allowing the richness and individuality of the timber to be appreciated up close.

Together, the pieces preserve the story of the Anglesea Stand while giving this remarkable material a new purpose.
